EMPORIUM APARTMENT

EMPORIUM APARTMENT

The Emporium Retreat | Bespoke Curation and a Soulful Transition

The Challenge: Infusing a Modern Urban Shell with a Personal Story
Our clients were transitioning from a larger family home into the prestigious Emporium complex—a move that required a thoughtful balance of downsizing and lifestyle elevation. While the apartment’s architectural "bones" were modern, it lacked the warmth and tailored detail our clients were used to. Our brief was to layer in the soul; creating a bespoke interior that felt like a sanctuary in the clouds, designed specifically for their new way of living and working.

Curation with Light and Art

The kitchen and dining zones were refined through the power of custom illumination. We designed and installed bespoke custom-made lighting over the kitchen island, instantly transforming a standard space into a unique, artisanal hub.

Intentional Glow: A new statement pendant was placed over the dining table to anchor the room, while carefully positioned wall lights were introduced to highlight a curated collection of artwork we selected specifically to reflect the clients' personalities.

Clever Solutions for Downsizing

Transitioning to a more compact footprint shouldn't mean compromising on function. We solved several spatial challenges through high-end, custom joinery:

The Living Sanctuary: To soften the modern lines of the lounge, we designed a bespoke TV wall unit paired with a delicate wallpaper, turning a functional necessity into a soft, textural focal point.

The Executive Home Office: As our clients continue to work from home, we created a fully custom office suite, ensuring their professional life had a dedicated, beautiful space that didn't feel like an afterthought.

The "Snug": A Versatile Second Living Zone

One of our favorite transformations was the spare room. To maximize the apartment’s footprint, we created a cozy "snug" featuring a custom-designed sofa bed. This allows the room to lead a double life: a quiet second living space for watching TV or a welcoming, private guest suite for visiting family and friends.

Tranquil Retreats: Elevation Through Texture

In the primary bedroom, we focused on "quiet luxury" and wellbeing. By introducing a glamorous designer wallpaper and a custom-made bedhead, we elevated the room from a standard suite to a high-end retreat. These tactile layers muffle the city sounds and wrap the room in a sense of calm and comfort.

The Porch Light Touch: An Intimate Urban Haven

This project wasn't about a full renovation; it was about the art of curation and clever, custom additions. As sisters and designers, we took great care to ensure every new piece—from the custom cabinetry to the hand-picked art—worked together to make this urban retreat feel like home. The result is a residence that is unpretentious, deeply personal, and perfectly tailored to our clients' new chapter.
